Washer cleaner for pet hair & odor · 2-pack
- Releases trapped pet hair
- Tackles wet-dog smell at the source
- A year of monthly cleanings per box
Pet hair doesn't stop at the lint trap. It works into the drum, the gasket, and the drain, where it holds onto dander and odor through every wash. These XL tablets bring the Renuv heavy duty deep clean to what pets leave behind: each one dissolves through a full hot cycle to release trapped hair and strip the buildup underneath.
Front load or top load, any age of machine. Unscented and septic safe. Two boxes of twelve XL tablets, two years of monthly cleanings.
Highlights
How to use
Start with an empty washer. Drop one tablet into the drum and run the clean washer cycle or a normal hot water cycle, then wipe away any loosened residue. Monthly for most homes; after a heavy pet-laundry week, run it sooner.

Pet laundry never really leaves the washer
Hair mats into the drum, the gasket, and the drain. Dander and oils settle into detergent scum where a rinse cannot reach. Run a load of towels after washing the dog bed and everything comes out carrying a little of it back.
One tablet. One hot cycle.

Drop one tablet in
Empty drum, front or top load. No measuring, no mess.

Run the hottest cycle
The tablet dissolves slowly, foaming through the drum, gasket, and drain to release trapped hair and strip buildup.

Wipe and done
Wipe the gasket and toss what comes loose. Monthly for most pet homes; weekly when the washer sees daily pet laundry.
What one cycle clears out
Trapped pet hair
It works into the drum, the gasket folds, and the drain, where rinse water never reaches it.
Wet-dog smell
The damp, doggy odor that settles into the drum and waits for the next load.
Dander residue
Oils and dander sink into the machine and ride back onto whatever you wash next.
Detergent scum
Old detergent and softener leave a sticky film that pet hair clings to.
Gasket grime
The rubber door seal holds onto the gunk that bedding and towels leave behind.
Drain buildup
Buildup collects in the drain line and pump until the whole machine runs slower.
One cycle, same machine

Works in every washer that washes pet laundry
Front load, top load, HE, twenty years old or brand new, across every brand: LG, Maytag, Whirlpool, Samsung, GE, Electrolux, and the rest. If it washes pet bedding, this cleans it.
Detergent washes clothes. It doesn't wash the washer.
Every load leaves a little detergent behind, and that residue is sticky. It coats the drum, the gasket, and the drain, and it is exactly what pet hair and dander cling to. The machine that washes your dog's blanket slowly turns into a filter that never gets changed. Running another cycle with more detergent feeds the film instead of clearing it. One tablet a month dissolves what detergent leaves behind, hair and all.

Everything people ask before buying
How do I use this after pet laundry?
Start with an empty washer. Drop one tablet directly into the drum, then run the clean-washer cycle or a normal hot-water cycle. When it is done, wipe away any loosened residue. It is a good reset after washing pet beds, blankets, towels, washable crate mats, or muddy pet gear.
Why does my washer smell after washing pet bedding or towels?
Pet loads can leave behind hair, dander, skin oils, dirt, and detergent residue. Some of that buildup sits in places you do not really see, like the drum, tub, pump, hose, and seals. Cleaning the machine helps remove the source of the smell instead of just covering it up.
Does it help with dog and cat hair inside the washer?
Yes. It helps loosen pet hair, grime, residue, and odor-causing buildup from internal washer surfaces during an empty hot cycle. It is especially useful if your washer handles a lot of dog or cat laundry.
When should I run a cleaning cycle?
Run one after heavier pet laundry: beds, blankets, towels, muddy clothes, washable crate mats, or anything that leaves the washer smelling like wet dog. It helps freshen the machine before your next regular load.
Will it help with wet dog smell or musty pet odor?
Yes, if the smell is coming from buildup inside the washer. Pet hair, oils, dander, leftover detergent, and damp grime can all hold odor. Renuv helps clean that mess out rather than adding a perfume smell on top of it.
Is it scented?
No. It is unscented and fragrance-free, which is helpful if you have pets or just do not want a strong artificial scent hanging around in the washer.
Can I use it with clothes, towels, or pet bedding in the washer?
No. Use the tablet in an empty washer only. Run the cleaning cycle first, then wash clothes, towels, pet bedding, or blankets afterward.
Will it work in my washer?
Yes. These tablets are made for front-load, top-load, and HE washing machines.
How often should pet owners use it?
Once a month is a good baseline. If you wash a lot of pet bedding, deal with strong washer odors, have muddy loads, or live with hard water, you may want to clean the machine more often.
What are the ingredients, and what does each one do?
This tablet uses an effervescent cleaner base plus enzymes, oxygen cleaner, surfactants, and processing aids: Anhydrous citric acid: helps with descaling and mineral buildup. Sodium carbonate: helps raise cleaning power and break down greasy residue. Sodium percarbonate: releases oxygen in water to help lift stains, residue, and odor-causing buildup. TAED: helps activate the oxygen-cleaning system so it works better in the wash cycle. Protease: enzyme that helps break down protein-based residue from pet messes, body oils, and everyday laundry soil. Diastase: enzyme that helps break down starch-based residue. Lipase: enzyme that helps break down fats and oily buildup. AOS and AEO3: surfactants that help loosen grime and carry soil away from washer surfaces. Tea polyphenols: included to help with odor-control support. Sodium chloride and PEG6000: help with tablet structure, dissolving, and consistency. Use one tablet in an empty washer only.
Why is my machine foaming too much?
This rarely happens, but when it does excess foam can happen for a few common reasons:
1. Detergent buildup
Most people use more laundry detergent than needed. Over time, leftover detergent residue builds up inside the washer. When the cleaner tablet starts breaking it loose, that old detergent can foam up along with the cleaner. This usually means the cleaner is doing its job, and future cleanings should foam less if the washer is cleaned regularly.
2. Soft water
Soft water can create more suds, especially when combined with old detergent residue and a cleaning tablet. This can cause extra foam during the cycle.
3. Drainage issues
A partially clogged drain hose or slow-draining washer can cause water and foam to back up instead of draining properly.
Is it safe for septic systems?
Yes. The formula is biodegradable and septic safe.
