1. Unplug your appliance.
2. Add hot water to your distiller tank above the mineral line.
3. Add 3 tablespoons of citric acid powder into the distiller tank.
4. Let the distiller sit at least 4-12 hours.
5. Scrub the inside of the tank with a soft brush or sponge, avoid abrasives.
6. Empty distiller tank and rinse it several times.

1. Fill kettle halfway with water.
2. Add 2 tablespoons of citric acid and stir to dissolve.
3. Boil the mixture if your kettle is safe to boil acidic solutions.
4. Let it sit for 30 to 60 minutes. (For kettles that shouldn't be boiled with acid, just pour in hot water (not boiling) and let it sit instead.).
5. Pour out the solution
6. Use a soft sponge to wipe away any loosened scale.
7. Rinse thoroughly 2 to 3 times with clean water

1. Empty Dishwasher.
2. Add 2 to 3 tablespoons of citric acid powder into detergent cup or in a dishwasher safe bowl on top rack.
3. Run the hottest and longest cycle available. (For best results, choose a "sanitize" or "extra hot" option if your dishwasher has one.)
4. When the cycle ends, wipe the inside of the door, seals, and edges with a damp cloth to remove loosened buildup.
5. For extra shine, run a short rinse cycle with just plain water. For extremely heavy limescale buildup, you can make a citric acid paste. Water mixed with citric acid to consistency of paste and apply it directly to the limescale, allow it to sit from 30 to 120 minutes and rub it with a soft sponge afterwards. For severe cases can even let it soak overnight for heavy buildup. Avoid metal damage: Prolonged exposure (especially overnight) can dull stainless steel or corrode sensitive metals like aluminum or zinc. If your dishwasher interior is stainless steel, an overnight soak is usually fine, just avoid direct contact with heating elements or any exposed metal screws. Rinse thoroughly: After soaking, scrub gently with a soft sponge and rinse well to remove all residue. Avoid seals and rubber: If applying paste near seals, don't leave it for more than 30 minutes to avoid possible drying or degradation over time.

1. Dissolve 1 teaspoon of citric acid in about 1 cup of water.
2. Pour the mixture into your dishwasher's rinse aid dispenser.
3. Run your dishwasher as usual. This helps prevent new spots and leaves glasses and dishes clear.

1. Empty Washing Machine.
2. Add 1/2 to 1 cup of citric acid powder directly into front loader drum or top loader tub.
3. Run the hottest, longest wash cycle (typically a "sanitize" or "clean washer" cycle).
4. Let the cycle run completely, this dissolves limescale and deodorizes the machine.
5. After the cycle, use a clean, damp cloth to wipe down the drum, door seal and gasket and detergent drawer.
6. For extra freshness, run an additional rinse cycle with plain water.

1. Empty the Coffee Maker.
2. Add 1 to 2 tablespoons of citric acid to the empty reservoir. Fill the rest with clean water and stir or swirl to dissolve.
3. Start a normal brew cycle (no coffee grounds). Halfway through, pause the machine for about 15 to 20 minutes to let the solution sit and break down deposits. Resume and finish the cycle.
4. Rinse thoroughly and dump the solution.

That is limescale being removed. It means Renuv is doing its job and removing it. That being said, if your machine is extremely neglected, large limescale deposits on some machines may be near impossible to remove, that is why it is important to regularly clean and maintain your coffee maker to avoid getting to the point where your machine will no longer perform at its peak.

If your coffee maker stops working after you descale it, there are a few possible reasons. #1. Sometimes, leftover descaler can remain in the machine if it's not rinsed thoroughly, which may interfere with sensors or flow. #2. In other cases, the descaling process can loosen built-up mineral deposits, and those chunks might clog internal parts like valves or tubes, preventing water from flowing properly. #3. Some machines also have sensors or safety features (thermal cutoff switch) that shut down the system if something seems off during the process, such as low water flow or overheating. Unplugging the machine and letting it rest for a while can sometimes reset it. #4. If the machine was heavily scaled before, descaling may have exposed or worsened existing damage to parts like the pump or heating element. To fix the issue, try running a few cycles of clean water, unplug the machine for several minutes, and check the manual for reset instructions. If it still doesn't work, you may need to contact the manufacturer.

For best results it is recommended that you allow the solution to fully dissolve for the highest concentration of descaling solution.
